What is your primary product or service?
landscapes that are both beautiful and benefit our environment; we design, build and install all range of landscape features. Our specialties are stonework, paths, walls, raingardens, native meadows, alternative lawns, and habitat for birds, butterflies and other endangered pollinators
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have a Master of Science degree in plant ecology. I learned where plants grow and why. I have applied that knowledge over these nearly 30 years of landscape design, construction and maintenance. We produce the most energy saving, beautiful, low maintenance gardens, that harvest rainwater runoff, and improve downstream water quality.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have the longest history of focusing on sustainable landscape principles. Our projects highlighted on our website reveal the beauty of our completed designs.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
one location; plan to add a second installation crew in 2016

Owner is founder, Douglas Owens-Pike
Chief Operating Officer is Angie Hettinger. She completed her Masters in Landscape Architecture at Iowa State University and has years of experience working in this field of native plant restoration.
